Supporting the Highland Hospice with Make a Will Month

Information on Make a Will Month in aid of the Highland Hospice

As a firm, we believe in supporting local charities so when we were approached in 2022 to take part in Make a Will Month supporting the Highland Hospice we agreed and after raising over £2500 for the charity we are delighted to be able to participate again in 2023.

The Highland Hospice support people, and their families, with life-shortening illnesses in the Highlands to live the best possible life and support them through to the end of life. The Hospice is an invaluable part of the Highlands and as an independent local charity, they are reliant on the local community fundraising and donating to ensure they can continue to support as many people as possible and their families through difficult times. Find out more about how the Highland Hospice support people from across the region here.

A Will is an essential legal document that every adult should consider having, no matter their circumstances. A Will is an important part of estate planning that allows you to decide what happens to your estate after your death.  You may want to leave money or items to family or friends or charities. If you do not have a Will your estate will fall into intestacy, and this can be a more difficult and expensive process for your family to deal with compared to when a Will is in place. Our blog on myth-busting Wills covers a range of questions and answers when it comes to making a Will.

Make a Will Month will run for the month of May and due to limited space, we advise you to book early. All Wills need to be drawn up and signed before the end of May to participate in Make a Will Month. In return for making a Will, we ask that you make a donation to the Highland Hospice, our suggested donation is £85 per person. We do charge £18 per person to cover the fee of our electronic identity check.
